Department of Defense Instruction 5000.79

Department of Defense Instruction 5000.79 provides instruction for Defense-Wide Sharing and use of Supplier and Product Performance Information (PI). Establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for managing the Defense-wide collection and sharing of supplier and product PI reported on supplies and services. Prescribes procedures for the use of supplier PI to determine performance risk to prospective supplier or product performance and assess risk of ongoing supplier performance.

To establish Department of the Navy (DON) policy for providing and maintaining the Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP) and to ensure DON compliance with the processing and management of supplier performance information, per the requirements of references (a) through (h), reference (i) Collection and Use of Past Performance Information, Parts 9.105-1, 13.106-2, 15.304, 42.1502, 46.4, 46.5 and 46.6 (current editions) and reference (j) Collection and Use of Past Performance Information, Parts 209.105-1, 211.002, 215.305, 242.15, 246.4, 246.5 and 246.6. The PDREP assists with ensuring first time quality and on-time delivery of materiel for both critical and non-critical applications.

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Instruction 4440.12A

To establish guidelines and assign responsibilities to manage Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S), Government Furnished Property (GFP), and Inventory within Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). For the purpose of this instruction, GFP includes equipment and material provided to the contractor, also known as Government Furnished Equipment and Government Furnished Material. Inventory includes Depot, Performance Based Logistics-Organic (PBL-O), and Mini Stock Point (MSP) material. This instruction does not include the Plant, Property, and Equipment categories of General Equipment, Minor Property, and Sub-Minor Property addressed in reference (a).
